Sales Consultant

You will own the entire sales value chain from sourcing, running discovery with our professional services teams, vendor and customer management, through to negotiation and close.

Accel is a medium sized System Implementor with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.  Recently rebranded in 2020, Accel has taken on an exciting new direction of blending Cyber Security with a long-standing capability in eCommerce System Implementation, to deliver “Secure Commerce,” to its customers.  eCommerce platforms are in the top five of the most vulnerable and penetrated digital platforms – we believe these environments must be built and maintained with Security at the forefront rather than an after-thought.  Accel’s Services are three-fold:

  • Security Services
  • eCommerce Implementation
  • Managed Services

    This Sales Consulting role is a mid-level role reporting directly to the Executive Director of Strategy and Growth. The role is focused on building pipeline, stakeholder management and deal execution across Accel’s complex vendor landscape. The candidate must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen.

    You will own the entire sales value chain from sourcing, running discovery with our professional services teams, vendor and customer management, through to negotiation and close.

    Responsibilities

    • Pipeline generation across multiple eCommerce SaaS vendors (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe)
    • Vendor relationship management
    • Customer relationship management (Pre-Sales – Close)
    • Identify additional sale opportunities across supported vendor product offering
    • Help evolve Accel’s Secure Commerce Offering
    • Advise Executive stakeholders on core market trends

    Your Experience

    We seek a self-starter that enjoys Consultative sales, in a start-up environment, where your opinion will be sought and your contribution matters.

    The ideal person will have a minimum of five years of direct quota carrying experience within SaaS sales, or Professional Service sales.  The role is 80% hunting and 20% cultivating – requiring someone who is able to translate the big picture into execution.  A good stepping-stone into Sales Management, with the potential to build from the ground up with the support of the Executive Team, key qualifications and experience include:

    • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred with at least five years of SaaS sales experience
    • Demonstrate successful quota achievement
    • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
    • Comfortable with managing projects
    • Team player, capable of working in complex deal environments
    • Proven experience in managing complex sales cycles (management of multiple deal stakeholders)
    • Versed in the Challenger Sale methodology, or another Value-Based Sales Method
    • Strong experience in Stakeholder Management
    • Knowledge in Retail, E-commerce, or Cyber Security is a plus but not required
    • Ability to adapt to working within a start-up environment
    • Work closely with delivery team members during the pre-sales process
    • Motivated by and proven ability to learn new vendor platforms and domain expertise
